US food services company Aramark and health-casual restaurant chain Freshii are to create 100 jobs through a partnership in Ireland to expand the Freshii brand.

The deal sees Aramark fuel Freshii's expansion in Ireland and the UK, opening a number of new Freshii outlets at locations including Arnott's Department Store and Trinity College Dublin.

These initial outlets will be followed by a further ten Aramark-led locations, creating 100 full-time and part-time jobs.

The Aramark-led Freshii outlets at Trinity College and Arnotts will be Freshii's fifth and sixth locations in Ireland.

Canadian-owned Freshii serves fresh food for people on the go, offering a menu of breakfast, soups, salads, wraps, bowls, burritos, frozen yogurt, juices and smoothies.

Dave O'Donoghue and Cormac Manning are the Freshii Ireland master franchise holders.

Aramark already has a strong presence in Ireland after taking control of the Avoca chain last year, while earlier this year the US firm also announced a partnership here with the Chopped healthy fast-food chain.

Freshii’s existing Irish outlets are based in the CHQ Building, Lusk Applegreen, Enfield West Applegreen and on Mespil Road in Dublin.
