150 Irish and international startups are being recruited to take part in an intensive startup bootcamp on Spike Island, a former disused prison off the coast of Cork.
Startup Island Bootcamp will take place on November 18 and 19.
The event is described as a "gritty, two-day overnight bootcamp that will challenge the way startups think".
Organised by Startup Ireland and Cork Innovates, the event is part of this year’s Global Startup Gathering.
Organisers says that participants will be pushed outside of their comfort zone with a physical army style bootcamp to put them through their paces.
As well as a night in the "cells", startups can expect business master classes on a diverse range of topics from pitching to raising capital.
A pitch competition will also run across the weekend, providing the startups with an opportunity to compete for a prize fund of €50,000.
