Plunkett named as Providence's non-executive chairman

Exploration company Providence Resources has announced the appointment of Pat Plunkett as its non-executive chairman.

Mr Plunkett replaces James McCarthy in the position at the company. Mr McCarthy will stay on Providence as a non-executive Director. 

The new appointment will take affect from next week.

Mr Plunkett served as non-executive chairman of Tullow Oil for 11 years and is currently chairman of T5 Oil and Gas.

Providence also said today that its board member Phil Nolan had announced his intention to leave the company at the start of next month due to other business commitments.
