Delivery service and logistics company Nightline has opened three new depots following a €3m investment.
This will see the company hire an additional 150 staff.
The three new sites are at Swords in Dublin, Omagh in Co Tyrone and Kilbarry in Co Waterford.
The jobs range from delivery drivers to depot support staff.
Nightline said it is growing due mainly to the popularity of e-commerce as the volume of products being bought online continues to rise, which leads to greater demand for delivery services.
"As we near a quarter of a century in business we continue to enjoy consistent and sustained growth at Nightline," the company's founder and chief executive John Tuohy said.
"With the heavy demand for online shopping we are seeing a strong and steady need for parcel and delivery services and this expansion is in line with the desire to continually give our growing customer base a first class service," the CEO added.
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Mary Mitchell O'Connor said that indigenous Irish businesses such as Nightline are important to not only the national economy but also local communities, delivering a valuable economic contribution across the country through increased employment and local expenditure.
"At the moment Ireland has one of the fastest growing employment rates in Europe, and it is homegrown companies such as Nightline which are helping to sustain this. This expansion is a great example of our recovering economy," the Minister added.
Nightline delivers over 14 million parcels a year and employs over 1,000 people at 13 Irish depots.
