Accountancy firm Grant Thornton is to move to new, larger headquarters in Dublin city centre to accommodate its entire employee base after the merger with RSM Farrell Grant Sparks last year.
The company has signed an agreement for a 25-year lease on a new building at Dublin’s City Quay.
Since the merger, the company has been operating from two separate offices in Dublin.
Grant Thornton has seen 46% growth in revenue in the past three years and expects to add 250 jobs over the next 18 months.
The firm employs over 1,000 people across its eight office locations in Ireland.
Grant Thornton’s Dublin HQ is currently based at 24-26 City Quay and will be moving to 13-18 City Quay, with annual rent on the new building at more than €5.8m.
Managing Partner with Grant Thornton Ireland Paul McCann said: “In order for us to continue to grow at the rate we are doing now, it’s strategically important that we future proof the practice and come together in a flagship headquarters.
“A key selling point of this building is that it enables us to stay in City Quay, it’s where we grew up and we’re very excited about our future here in our new home.”
Grant Thornton is expected to move into the new headquarters in summer 2018.
