US growth boosts Total Produce's 10.4% H1 revenue

Revenue at Total Produce rose by 10.4% in the first half of the year to €1.91 billion, driven by strong expansion in North America.

The fresh produce company saw earnings after day-to-day expenses (EBITDA) increase by 13% to €48.2m between January and June, when compared with the same timeframe last year.

Earnings per share for the period jumped 11.6% to 6.16 cent, with the firm saying it is now targeting increased full-year earnings at the top end of the previously announced range of 10.50-11.50 cent per share.

Total Produce Chairman Carl McCann said the group has continued its US expansion this year, “acquiring 65% of Progressive Produce, a company headquartered in Los Angeles.

“In addition, the group made a number of other investments to complement its existing businesses.

“The Group continues to actively pursue further investment opportunities.

“We are pleased to announce a 10.0% increase in the interim dividend to 0.8096 cent per share,” Mr McCann concluded.
