Datalex sees double-digit revenue and earnings growth in H1

Software company Datalex has reported 17% growth in revenue to $24.4m (€21.8m) and a 22% rise in earnings to $4.6m (€4.1m) for the six months to the end of June.

The company, which provides technology used primarily by airlines to manage their online commerce and retail operations, said the first half growth was driven by new business wins including several in China.

The software provider also announced a new collaboration agreement with IBM to develop digital commerce products.

Datalex’s fifth customer in the Chinese market is now live, while deployment of its sixth customer there is under way.

Meanwhile, the firm has extended its relationship with the Lufthansa Group, which is the largest group of airlines in Europe.

The company has recently announced plans to hire 200 staff.

Datalex had a cash pile of $18m at the end of June - up from $16.2m at the same stage last year.

It said it will continue its investment in new digital commerce innovation and will spend to scale the business for further growth.
