Greencore recorded revenues of £360.4m in the 13 weeks to 24 June, according to its third quarter results – representing a 4% rise on the same period of last year.
The convenience food and ingredients company said it brought its revenue figure for the year to date to more than £1.052 billion – up 6.7% year on year.
For the year to date, the division has recorded revenue of £1.02bn, 7.5% higher than the same time last year.
Greencore's convenience food division accounted for the vast bulk of the company's activity, with its food to go business performing particularly well.
The firm said it is expanding capacity in this area across its UK facilities.
This side of the business has benefitted from new business wins during the year, including the notable acquisition of The Sandwich Factory yesterday for around £15m.
While Greencore said the Brexit vote has resulted in greater uncertainty regarding the UK economic outlook, its assessment is “that the short-term impact on Greencore is likely to be modest”.
The Greencore UK business imports less than a quarter of its ingredients and packaging materials, and given forward purchase arrangements, the company does not expect the fall in sterling to impact on profit this year.
On outlook, the group said it is confident of delivering performance in line with expectations.
