Health-focused fast-food retailer Chopped will open its latest outlet in Rathmines in Dublin 6 today.

The new outlet will create 20 jobs and follows newly opened Chopped outlets in Mulhuddart and Grafton Street in Dublin city centre.

The company, founded by Brian Lee, also said that new outlets will be opened shortly in Tallaght and Sandyford with more outlets to be announced soon. 

It said its expansion plan will bring the number of Chopped employees to 320 by the end of the year. 

Elsewhere, 20 new full-time jobs are to be created in Sligo by Connolly Motor Group, which has been appointed as a main dealer for Mercedes-Benz cars.

Connollys Mercedes-Benz will open in Collooney in September and will be one of the largest Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the country.

€4.5m is being invested in the new state-of-the-art dealership.

The new jobs will bring the number of full-time employees at the Connolly Motor Group to 183.
