UK home, leisure and garden retail chain, The Range, has announced that it will enter the Irish market later this year.

The Range will open its first Irish store at Childers Retail Park in Limerick, creating about 80 jobs.

The new store will offer a selection of products across 16 departments including an outdoor garden centre. It
will also have a family café.

The chain has 120 stores across the UK and plans to open more this year.

Its founder Chris Dawson said that the company is constantly expanding and it had been hoping to open in Ireland for some time.

"As our closest neighbours, this is the ideal next step and we have just been waiting for the right time to make this move. We are confident that Ireland will play a huge part in the continued success of The Range brand and look forward to making the move," he added.
