The Carlyle Cardinal Ireland group has made a seven figure investment in a North of Ireland-based e-learning company Learning Pool.
Carlyle Cardinal is a joint venture between private equity group Carlyle, which manages $178 billion of assets, and Irish investment company Cardinal.
The joint venture has previously invested in Lily O'Brien's chocolates, business services firm Abtran and technology group Payzone.
Derry-based Learning Pool now employs 80 people, servicing clients in the UK, Ireland and internationally.
Customer organisations use Learning Pool's online services to meet a compliance requirement or to improve organisational performance.
