Icelandic low cost airline WOW air has announced new routes from Dublin to San Francisco and Los Angeles, via Reykjavik.
The airline said it will begin flying to the US West Coast this summer with flights to San Francisco from June 9 and to LA from June 15.
WOW air's expansion to California follows the successful launch of transatlantic services from Dublin, via Iceland, to Boston and Washington DC last year.
WOW air says it is the first low-cost airline to fly transatlantic from Dublin.
Founded in 2011 by entrepreneur Skúli Mogensen, WOW air now connects 27 destinations across Europe and the US with the Icelandic capital, Reykjavik.
The airline has predicted its annual passenger capacity will more than double in 2016 to over 1.8 million, up from about 840,000 last year.
