Maximum Media, the company behind Joe.ie and Her.ie, is expanding and will hire 42 people between now and the end of 2016.
The hiring drive will bring to more than 100 the number of staff employed by Maximum across its operations in the UK and Ireland.
Among the positions the company is recruiting for are multimedia journalists, video production specialists and social media managers. The company is also seeking to hire a new editor of Her.ie, a lifestyle website for women.
The company now employs 56 people in Dublin and ten in London.
As part of its expansion, the company said it will also launch a new branded content solutions department - MADE - which will offer clients multimedia content creation, animation, video production, social media, media research, multimedia design and development.
Maximum Media's managing director Katie Molony said that the expansion comes at the end of a very successful year for the digital media industry overall.
"This year alone, we have grown our audience to over 10 million unique users each month across our digital brands, we launched two new sites, extended our geographical footprint with two new offices in the UK and now we're finishing the year with a substantial jobs announcement," Ms Molony said.
"Quality content for our engaged audience, strong social media, and creativity is vital to our long term success and we are investing heavily in these areas for 2016," she added.
