Ornua, which rebranded from the Irish Dairy Board, has appointed Denis Cregan as the company’s first Independent Non–Executive Director.
Mr Cregan is currently Chairman of both the environmental services group One51 and of Kerry Airport.
He is also a Director of Tourism Ireland and a former director of Kerry Group, where he worked for over 30 years.
Ornua became the new name of the Irish Dairy Board earlier this year and is the home of brands such as Kerrygold, Dubliner and Pilgrim's Choice.
Chairman Aaron Forde said: “The appointment of Mr Cregan is an important step in our governance journey and the strengthening of Ornua’s Board.
“Appointing a Director of Mr Cregan’s experience, from beyond the Ornua co-operative structure, will bring valuable new insight to the Ornua Board,” he added.
