Irish mobile tech firm Zamano has announced that its non-executive Chairman John Rockett will be resigning as a Director at the end of March 2016.

The company said in a statement that he is doing this “in order to devote more time to his other business interests”.

The board of Zamano has commenced the process to recruit a new director.

CEO of the mobile company Ross Conlon said Mr Rockett “has been a valued adviser for the executive management team as well as providing strong leadership for the Board.

“As a result we are sorry that he will be leaving us and, on behalf of the Board, I would like to thank John for his contribution and commitment," he added.

Zamano has also issued a trading update for the first nine months of the year showing the company generated revenue of €16.82m and income of €2.08m (EBITDA), compared to €13.42m and €1.71m for the same time last year.

The firm said it had a net cash position at 30 September of €5.38m, more than double the figure for the same period in 2014.
