Fiona Muldoon has been appointed as Group Chief Executive of FBD Holdings.
Ms Muldoon joined FBD in January of this year, taking on the role of Interim Chief Executive on 31 July.
It is intended that she will also be appointed as Chief Executive of FBD Insurance, subject to regulatory approval.
Commenting on the appointment FBD Chairman Michael Berkery said: “I am delighted to announce Fiona’s appointment as Group Chief Executive. Fiona has already made a very significant impact in FBD since joining the Group in January and played a pivotal role in the successful capital raising in FBD Insurance plc announced on 16 September."
In June Ms Muldoon was appointed to the Bank of Ireland Board of Directors as a non-executive director.
She was previously Director of Credit Institutions and Insurance Supervision at the Central Bank from August 2011 to May 2014.
She joined the Central Bank from Canada Life where she held the position of Chief Financial Officer.
A Chartered Accountant, Ms Muldoon spent 17 years of her career with XL Group in Dublin, London and Bermuda, where she worked in senior financial and general management positions.
