Technology firm SwiftQueue Technologies Limited has secured a €550,000 sydincated investment from the Bank of Ireland Seed and Early Stage Fund.
SwiftQueue provides healthcare appointment software in Ireland and the UK.
It has developed a platform that enables patients of hospitals and clinics to book their appointments online, which leads to much reduced waiting times and non-attendance rates.
The funding round comprises a €300,000 investment by Kernel Capital through the Bank of Ireland Seed and Early Stage Equity Fund with the rest of the funds provided by Enterprise Ireland.
The Enterprise Ireland supported company currently employs 10 people and is planning to recruit more staff over the next year to support its growth plans.
"Increasing efforts to address the challenges in today's healthcare systems have seen a greater emphasis on the use of technology to deliver integrated and efficient solutions that improve patient engagement," commented Brendan Casey, SwiftQueue's chief executive.
"This investment from Kernel Capital and Enterprise Ireland will enable SwiftQueue to expedite our growth plans and ensure our team deliver the solutions to meet and exceed these expectations," he added.
