Dublin-based Neuromod Devices has raised €5.5m in funding from international life sciences venture capital fund Fountain Healthcare Partners.
The Irish medical device company specialises in the treatment of chronic tinnitus, which is experience by about 250 million people worldwide on a daily basis
The company said the investment will be used to further enhance scientific and clinical understanding of its device and start US clinical trials.
Earlier this year Neuromod was recognised as the 'Emerging Company of the Year' at the Irish Medical Device Association Awards, by its medical device industry peers
