Factory gate prices rose 6.8% in July when compared to the same month of last year, according to figures from the Central Statistics Office.
Computer, electronic and optical products saw the biggest increase on last year, up 17.9%, while basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations were up 10.1%.
Food products including bread and confectionary were up 8.5%, however dairy product prices fell 14.1% and fruit and vegetable prices were 5.2% lower.
When looked at on a monthly basis, factory gate prices were up 0.4% when compared to June, compared to a monthly fall of 0.1% in July 2014.
