Origin Enterprises has agreed to acquire Polish firm Kazgod in a deal worth €22.4m.

Origin said it would pay an initial €20.3m for the agricultural inputs and services company, with €2.1m being deferred for three years.

Kazgod produces products including animal feed and fertilisers, employing 200 people and serving 2,600 customers in central and eastern Poland.

Origin said its acquisition would strongly complement its Dalgety subsidiary, which is focused mainly on western Poland.

The acquisition requires the approval of Poland’s competition authority – The Office for the Protection of Competition and Consumers – but Origin expects the deal to be completed by the end of the year.
