Ulster Bank and NatWest owner Royal Bank of Scotland has said that account payments are missing for some customers across its banking brands after the group suffered a technical glitch overnight.
A spokesperson for Ulster Bank in Dublin said there was an issue affecting some transactions overnight.
The spokesperson said the issues were limited to a number of Nat West and RBS account holders in Northern Ireland and none in the Republic of Ireland.
Reports suggest about 600,000 bank account payments went missing after a technical glitch at Royal Bank of Scotland.
An issue with its "overnight process" meant some customers had not seen credits or direct debits applied to their accounts.
An RBS spokesperson said the issue had been identified and fixed, but it was still working to retrieve missing payments.
"To any customers concerned about the implications of this issue we advise them to get in touch with our call centres or come into a branch where our staff will be ready to help. We will ensure no customers are left out of pocket as a result of this issue," the bank said in a statement.
