The Government's Chief Information Officer is to leave his job at the end of the month.
A spokesperson for the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform confirmed that Michael McGrath is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
Mr McGrath was appointed on an interim basis in March of last year.
He was previously Executive Vice-President of IT at Icon.
A spokesperson for the Department said the position would be advertised on the publicjobs.ie website in the coming weeks.
The previous Government CIO, Bill McCluggage, resigned in December 2013, seven months after he was appointed.
