New domain name aims to provide greater marketing opportunities

A new internet domain name aimed at the global Irish community is being introduced tomorrow.

The new domain makes it possible to put the word ‘Irish’ after the dot in a web address in the same way .ie, .com or .net are used.

It aims to provide greater marketing opportunities for Irish brands and organisations around the world.

The Dot-Irish LLC company is authorised to operate the .Irish name by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.
