Global management consulting and technology services firm, Accenture, is to recruit 250 new staff around the country by the end of the summer.

The jobs will be in the technology and digital areas.

The company said it is also looking for people with industry expertise across a range of areas including financial services, communications, media and food and agriculture.

Recruitment will begin immediately.

The new roles will bring Accenture's work force in Ireland to 1,850 people.

"There is a wealth of talent in this country, and we are pleased to offer the opportunity to develop careers with Accenture," commented Alastair Blair, Accenture's country managing director in Ireland.  

"Professionals who join our team will have access to the latest technology and will receive training and professional development opportunities to expand their business, industry and technical skills," he added.
