A monthly index tracking the value of services fell by 1.1% in November when compared to the previous month but was up on an annual basis, according to the Central Statistics Office.
Month-on-month a number of service activities saw declines, including wholesale and retail trade (-1.9%), transportation and storage (-1.7%) and professional, scientific and technical activities (4.1%).
Other service activities were up 7.8%, however, while accommodation and food service activities grew by 4.3%.
On an annual basis, the seasonally adjusted monthly services value index grew by 5.9%.
That was due to growth in a number of sectors including accommodation and food services (12.3%), transportation and storage (8.6%) and information and communications activities (8.5%).
