Smyths Toy Superstores plans to create 15 new jobs at its Galway head office in the next six months.
The company said the roles would be spread across a number of roles, including IT and buying.
Smyths currently operates 80 stores in Ireland and Britain and said it plans to open a further 7-8 outlets by the end of 2015.
The retailer said details of the jobs would be made available on its website.
