Polish Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechocinski said today that Poland would join the euro zone after 2020 at the earliest.

Poland wants to switch zloty to euro once the euro zone is healed and there is a political consensus within main parties over the issue.

It is impossible for Poland to join the euro zone now as the main opposition party is against it.

"We will be in the euro zone after 2020 at the earliest," Piechocinski, also Poland's economy minister, told Polish radio.
