Aircraft leasing firm Avolon has finalised an order with Boeing which will add eleven jets to its fleet.
The deal, which involves six 787-9 Dreamliners and five 737 MAX 9s, has a value of $2.1bn based on the aircrafts’ list prices.
Avolon, which is headquartered in Dublin, first announced the deal with Boeing at this year’s Farnborough Airshow.
Both models of aircraft are designed to be more fuel efficient than comparable jets, offering airlines lower costs per passenger.
