Aer Lingus passengers who are flying into or out of Heathrow Airport in London will now use the airport's Terminal 2 building and not Terminal 1.

Aer Lingus operates 48 flights a day to and from Heathrow to Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Belfast City airports.

The airline is the third largest airline operator at Heathrow and it is its number one destination airport.

"The move will be great news for our Heathrow customers who will enjoy increased transfer opportunities, quicker transfer times, shorter walking distances and improved retail and restaurant opportunities," commented Aer Lingus Chief Revenue Officer Mike Rutter.
