Bank of Ireland has raised €750m through the sale of a ten year, Tier 2 capital bond.

The bank said the bond was sold with a 4.25% yield, compared to a 10% rate on a similar sale in late 2012.

Bank of Ireland said the auction was more than five times over-subscribed, with 97% of investors coming from overseas.
