Operating profits at Greencore rose by 14% in the six months to the end of March, according to an interim management statement by the company.
The convenience food group said it had an operating profit of £37.2m in the 26 weeks to 28 March, based on an 8.2% rise in revenues at £619.8m.
Greencore today announced plans for a £30m investment in its sandwich production facility in Northampton in Britain following its successful bid to service a new business.
In February it also acquired a Minnesota-based firm as part of its plans to expand in the United States.
