Computer company Dell has launched a centre for entrepreneurs in Ireland, which it says will provide start-ups with funding, mentoring and technical expertise.

As part of the launch the company announced a competition which would give three start-ups free office space for a year at one of the company’s campuses, along with access to business supports and facilities.

Dell has also established a €10 million fund in conjunction with the centre, which will give small businesses access to funding for technology purchases.

The centre follows on from similar programmes established by Dell in the United States and Britain.
