Ryanair has invested $280m in the opening of two new bases in Greece - one in Athens and another in Thessaloniki.

The new bases will open this April. Ryanair also has a base in Chania in Crete. 

Athens will have two Ryanair planes based there and the airline will operate six new routes from the Greek capital to London, Chania, Milan, Paphos, Rhodes and Thessaloniki.

Ryanair will also base one plane in Thessaloniki and will launch new routes to Athens, Pisa and Warsaw from April.
