Preliminary estimates from the Central Statistics Office show that average weekly earnings were €675.53 in the third quarter of 2013, down 2.4% from €691.93 the same time last year.
The CSO said that revised weekly earnings were €695.53 in the second quarter and showed an increase of 0.4% over the same time in 2012.
Today's figures show that average hourly earnings were €21.40 in the three months from July to September compared with €21.80 the same time last year, down 1.8% over the year.
Average weekly paid hours fell to 31.6 in the three month period, a decrease of 0.1 hours or 0.3%.
