The Irish Exporters Association has appointed Simon McKeever as its new chief executive, replacing John Whelan.
In a statement, the association said that Mr McKeever's career so far has included senior executive roles in global financial markets and business consultancy in Ireland.
More recently he was involved in the development of trade and trade policy and strategy across Ireland and UK.
He has worked with AIB Capital Markets, RBC and in the British Embassy in Dublin, where he was involved in the British Irish Chamber of Commerce.
