Consulting engineering company Byrne Looby Partners has said it will recruit 50 new staff in Ireland and abroad.

The company said that 25 jobs will be created at its Irish offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast.

Another 25 roles will be filled at the company's seven international offices in the UK, North Africa and the Middle East.

The company's joint managing director, Michael Looby said the company has commenced recruitment and is aiming to fill all positions over the next 18 months. The new jobs included positions for engineers, project managers and business development and support staff.

Byrne Looby Partners employs 84 people across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, including a workforce of 59 in Ireland.

Its project list includes the Aviva Stadium, The Shard in London, the STEP Sewer 40km wastewater tunnel in Abu Dhabi, Heathrow Terminal 2 in the UK and the Swords waste water treatment plant in Dublin.
