Retailer Heatons is creating 55 jobs as it opens a new shop in the Northside Shopping Centre in Dublin in November.
The new shop will be the company's 53rd store in Ireland and will bring its workforce to over 2,000 employees.
The €1m store will have a dedicated SportsWorld floor, while it will also offer fashion, homewares, textiles and toys.
''Over the past 67 years, Heatons as a brand has gone from strength to strength and we are delighted to say that this growth continues even in a difficult climate,'' a spokesperson for the company said today.
