A new fund aimed at boosting the number of high potential female led business start-ups has been launched by Enterprise Ireland.
The €250,000 Competitive Feasibility Fund for female entrepreneurs is part of a plan by Enterprise Ireland to increase the number of export oriented businesses being set up and led by women.
The fund will be open to up to ten companies in the manufacturing and internationally traded service sectors, including internet, games, apps, cloud computing and life sciences.
The money will be available for the firms to test products and services in the marketplace. Applications will be accepted until September 10.
Last year, 30 female-led businesses from 200 applicants won capital from two Enterprise Ireland female entrepreneurship funds.
