Luxair has announced plans to resume its direct service between Dublin and Luxembourg from March 2014.
Luxembourg’s flag carrier said it was re-establishing the route after the Dublin Airport Authority demonstrated demand for it after “extensive contact”.
The airline plans to fly between the cities on four days of the week for next year’s summer season, beginning on 30 March.
It will use a 76-seater Bombardier Q400 on the route, which is 50% larger than the aircraft flown between Dublin and Luxembourg in the past.
Luxair ended its service between the two cities in 2011, but said the decision to resume it was part of a strategy of offering better fares across an “improved European route network”.
