Mobile commerce company Zamano has reported ''strong progress'' in the first five months of this year.
In a trading update ahead of its AGM today, the company said that ''robust'' performances, especially in its UK operations, continue to underpin revenue for the group during the first half of 2013.
The company also expanded during the period under review and started operations in Central Europe, Scandinavia and Australia - targeting another 48 million mobile phone users.
It said it plans further expansion during the rest of the year as it targets another 134 million mobile phone users worldwide.
''The strong operating performance during the first half of 2013 has resulted in a further improvement in our cash balances, which enabled us to internally fund the working capital requirements associated with our territorial expansion,'' today's statement said.
Zamano also said today that it intends to conduct a soft launch of a new messaging product aimed at SME customers in Ireland and the UK during the second half of the year.
It also said it continues to seek joint venture and licencing opportunities to increase the depth of its product offering.
