AIB has said that its acting chief financial officer Paul Stanley is leaving the bank to pursue other opportunities.
Mr Stanley will leave AIB in August of this year. He joined AIB in 1980 and was appointed to the post in May 2011.
In a statement, the bank said it has started looking for a permanent appointment to the position.
It added that it expects this process to conclude in the short term subject to relevant regulatory approvals.
