Mobile operator Three has extended its sponsorship of the Irish soccer team in a deal worth an additional €4 million.
The carrier will now remain as the primary sponsor of the national soccer team until 2016, adding two years to the €7.8 million deal struck in 2010.
As part of the deal Three has exclusive branding rights to the Irish soccer team’s kit and training gear, branding on tickets and pitch-side branding for matches at the Aviva Stadium on Landsdowne Road.
The company said it would also continue its work with grassroots soccer organisations, which include a revenue sharing scheme for clubs that get members to switch to the Three network.
FAI CEO John Delaney welcomed the extension and said he looked forward to working with Three through to the Euro 2016 tournament.
