KBC Bank Ireland is to launch debit card services to its Irish customers later this year.
It is joining up with MasterCard for the new service.
The debit card will be accepted at over 33 million retail locations around the world, on the internet and at two million ATMs - wherever MasterCard is accepted.
“Launching a debit card service is strategically important to KBC’s plans in Ireland and greatly enhances the range of banking services we offer to our customers,'' commented John Reynolds, chief executive at KBC Bank Ireland.
