Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has appointed Oliver Ellingham to the board of the National Asset Management Agency.

Mr Ellingham is a chartered accountant who has previously held senior roles at BNP Paribas and was also a non-executive director with IBRC from October 2011 to February of this year.

In a statement Mr Noonan said Mr Ellingham had “significant international experience in finance” which would make him an asset to NAMA.

NAMA chairman Frank Daly welcomed the appointment and said Mr Ellingham was “well placed to make a valuable contribution to the board.”
