Dublin-based Zinc Software has secured a €650,000 investment to help it launch a health-focused mobile game.
Almost half of the investment comes from the Bank of Ireland MedTech Accelerator Fund, managed by Kernel Capital, and the AIB Seed Capital Fund, co-managed by Dublin BIC, which invested €150,000 each.
The remainder of the capital was provided by Enterprise Ireland and PCH International, which will partner with Zinc through its Accelerator programme.
Zinc, which develops heart sensors that connect wirelessly to mobile devices, said it would use the money to bring its ‘Zen’ game to market.
The game encourages users to focus on their breathing for ten minutes a day, which is monitored through a sensor attached to the user’s earlobe.
PCH International CEO Liam Casey described Zinc’s products as “game changers for the health and wellness market”.
