Bewley’s has acquired Yorkshire-based company Bolling Coffee as part of its continuing expansion into the British market.

Bolling Coffee supplies specialist coffees to over 600 customers across the UK and also operates the Grumpy Mule brand of products.

It employs 42 people and has annual revenues of around £7 million. The terms of Bewley’s acquisition were not disclosed.

Bewley’s acquired London-based Darlington’s Coffee in late 2011 as part of an attempt to reduce its reliance on the Irish market. It also operates as Rebecca’s Café in Boston in the United States and Java City in California.
