Paddy Power has today announced a deal to buy five outlets from the Jameson Racing chain for an undisclosed sum.

Four of the outlets are in Cork city and suburbs, with the fifth on Dublin’s Northside. The shops in Cork are located in Blackpool, Popham’s Avenue, Ballintemple (Douglas) and Ballincollig West.

The company said the shop's 14 staff members will be staying on, while five new retail positions are also being created.

Paddy Power bought a Jameson Racing store in Cork in 2009.

These latest buys brings Paddy Power’s outlets in the Republic of Ireland to 219, with more planned for the rest of 2013. The company also operates four racecourse outlets.
