100 jobs promised at Dublin IT firm

Up to 100 jobs are to be created at an information technology security company in Dublin.

Mandiant is establishing an engineering and security operations centre in the city.

The company provides products to deal with cyber security attacks.

The new posts will be in software engineering and security operations. Other jobs will be created in product development roles, as well as a number of administrative positions.

The investment is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.

Meanwhile SKY is hiring another 40 staff throughtout its retail store network around the country.

The new roles vary from field-based staff to head office support roles.

And sofa retailer DFS has announed 19 new jobs in Cork as it opens in second shop in the country. With the new Cork shop, DFS said it had created a total of 50 jobs in Ireland this year.
