Aer Lingus said it carried a total of 962,000 passengers in October, an increase of 0.9% on the same time last year.
The figure includes passengers on its Aer Lingus Regional operations.
The airline said that its short haul passenger numbers inched 0.1% higher to 876,000 last month, while long haul passenger numbers increased by 10.3% to 86,000.
Aer Lingus said its load factor last month increased by 1.5 points to 79.2% compared to the same time last year. Its short haul flown load factor was 77.4%, down 1.7 points as capacity decreased by 1.3%.
Its long haul load factor was 83%, up 8.3 points on October 2011 despite capacity falling by 0.7% on the previous year.
