The total number of passengers that Aer Lingus carried on its flights this September was up 1.7% on the same month last year.
A total of 1,019,000 people flew with Aer Lingus in September.
However the number of passengers on its mainline routes, excluding regional operations, was down 0.8% on September last year.
Short haul flown passengers numbered 829,000, while a total of 97,000 long haul passengers were carried.
Regional operations performed strongly in September with 93,000 passengers being carried, an increase of nearly 37% on the same month last year.
